Demand currently outstripping resources, says Manx Care
If demand for cancer services on the Isle of Man continues to increase, it will impact other non-cancer services.
That's from Manx Care's Operations Director after the healthcare operator recorded its busiest ever month for cancer referrals, with 455 new patients registered in May.
The board has budgeted for a 3 per cent rise in demand, but cancer services are currently seeing a year-on-year increase of around 11 per cent.
