Increase in number of hedgehogs out in the day, says charity

It could mean the animal is in trouble

The ManxSPCA says it's seen an increase in the number of hedgehogs being seen out during the day.

As nocturnal animals, it may mean they have a problem such as illness or injury.

The charity says the warmer weather can potentially reduce the amount of food and water available to them.

It says they can be helped by leaving out dog or cat food and a shallow dish of clean water for them.
