Improvements needed for children at risk of abuse

The Manx government is committed to providing the best possible children’s services on the Island.

That’s the belief of the Chief Minister after an inspection concluded some of the Island's most vulnerable children are not having their needs met.

The report, by the Scottish Care Inspectorate, also found social workers are often too late to intervene in abusive households.

It will be presented to Tynwald this month.
