Second attempt to redevelop site
The demolition of a former hotel on Douglas promenade looks imminent.
Planning applications have been submitted (Fri 2) to knock down the Imperial Hotel, which is a registered building on Castlemona Terrace, Central Promenade.
A similar application was made in March 2013, but the demolition was not carried out.
If approved, work must also be carried out to stabilise and protect the boundary wall of the neighbouring building.
