Outgoing Minister disappointed by saga
An MHK says her decision to stand down as health minister was a ‘bolt out of the blue’.
Kate Beecroft resigned on Wednesday after being told she had lost the support of some of her departmental members.
Her replacement is being sought by the Chief Minister.
Mrs Beecroft admits there were strains in the relationship with her chief executive, Malcolm Couch, but insists she was making progress in the one job she 'always craved'.
