
UK project aims to save heritage collections
Hundreds of sound recordings from Manx National Heritage's archives are being digitised before they become degraded beyond repair.
It's part of the UK-wide 'Unlocking Our Sound Heritage' project, aimed at saving collections held on dated formats.
MNH has sent 600 recordings to Nothern Ireland for preservation - these include recordings of native Manx speakers, WW2 internees, and the last night of Bushy's Brew Pub in 1998.
