'Hugely overdue' footpath report will be a year late

'It is what it is' says DoI Minister

The infrastructure minister has blamed ‘huge changes’ in his department for a delay in publishing a report which is almost a year overdue.

MHKs are still waiting for the final document from the working group on public rights of way and government owned public paths.

It was supposed to be ready by July 2023 but the Council of Ministers didn’t receive it until April this year; it then requested more information which meant it went back to the DoI.

Tim Crookall says it’s now due to be given to Tynwald in October – something Douglas South MHK Claire Christian says isn’t good enough:
