Freedom of Information request asks what aerobatic display produces
A half hour display of the Red Arrows produces the equivalent of around 26,194 kilos of carbon dioxide.
The figure has been published by the Department for Enterprise, after it was asked how much greenhouse gas emissions are produced by the aerobatic team during its performance at the Isle of Man TT.
However, in the department's response to the Freedom of Information request, it says the display at the Isle of Man TT is shorter than this, and an exact figure is not held.
The department writes that the correspondent may wish to contact the Ministry of Defence in the UK for further information.
The Red Arrows will return to the Isle of Man TT for a display on Friday, 7 June.
