The cost of housing on the Isle of Man can be prohibitive to newly qualified medical professionals considering a job here.
That’s the view of the chief executive of Manx Care who says it is an issue which is affecting recruitment.
Teresa Cope has told Manx Radio the health body is having to put up more money for relocation costs and confirmed that government owned accommodation for healthcare workers is ‘always fully occupied’.
She says it’s something that particularly affects those at the start of their career:
