Investment key to boosting ageing facilities
Specialist consultants from the UK say the Isle of Man can turn around its tourism industry – but it’ll take modernisation and money.
A report from Hotel Solutions examined the Island's accommodation sector.
It found ageing hotels which don’t use online marketing are in need of investment and rely heavily on a seasonal trade.
The report will now be considered by the Department of Economic Development – although the experts say the situation has now changed after the sale of the Mount Murray Hotel and the threatened closure of the horse trams.
