Health minister defends pay as recruitment incentive
Government pays hospital consultants on average around £43,000 more than what they receive in the UK.
Health Minister David Ashford provided the figures in a Tynwald answer to a question from Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson.
The average amount paid on the Isle of Man for full-time hospital consultants in the last year (2020-21) was £190,000.
