Dr Allinson gives water stocks update
If we cast our minds back, it was well documented last summer... something we perhaps take for granted on the Isle of Man - water - had become a rather noticeably finite resource.
An unusually dry summer led to the introduction of a hosepipe ban, over fears our reserves of H2O were dwindling - the first hosepipe ban on the Isle of Man for fifteen years in fact, which was brought into effect on 3 August.
What followed was a more characteristic influx of rain, which meant the Island's reservoirs started to fill up again, and Chair of Manx Utilities Dr Alex Allinson was able to drop the ban.
More recently, the Island has experienced an unusually dry February - so where are we now? Has March replenished the Island's stocks once more?
