Six sold at auction
The horse tram cars put up for sale by Douglas Council at auction sold for a collective £9,200 on Saturday.
Four of the six trams were sold above their reserve price with the highest going for £2,800 at the auction house on Allan Street in Douglas.
The local authority had deemed them surplus to requirements.
The rest of the tram cars have been transferred to the Department of Infrastructure, which now runs the service.
