Minister quizzed about funding for service
Onchan MHK David Quirk says he wants more information about where the government’s going to find money to run Douglas horse trams.
The service was almost scrapped this year when Douglas council announced it couldn’t afford to run the loss-making trams on the capital’s promenade.
However, the Department of Infrastructure has now stepped in, saying it will continue running the historic service this year.
In the House of Keys next week, Mr Quirk will quiz minister Phil Gawne about his plans:
