Plans also include wild spa, outdoor pool and glasshouse dining
The people behind a proposed all year-round facility at The Nunnery in Douglas say they hope to create a site that fits in with the nature around it.
A planning application has been submitted for the Island’s first indoor padel club, alongside a wild spa, outdoor pool and glasshouse dining area.
The plans have been put forward for the facility HABIT at The Nunnery in Douglas by well-known business owners; they include Johnny and Loni Evans who are behind Castletown Golf Links along with Miles and Pippa Petit who run NOA a hospitality business based in Douglas.
In the plans they hope to create a diverse and resilient landscape in The Nunnery estate through using Manx hedge banks, alongside bird, bat and insect nesting spaces.

Johnny Evans said: "We share one ambition: to make something brilliant here. Not exclusive, not occasional - a place people fold into their everyday lives, all year round, and one more thing that makes the island such a special place to visit."
Mr Petit, who is behind the proposed site, has spoken to Manx Radio about the plans for the development:
