Island organisations offering support for those who need it
People affected by suicide are being reassured support is always at hand.
Today (10 September) marks World Suicide Prevention Day and residents are being encouraged to talk to, and support, each other through difficult times.
The World Health Organisation estimates more than 700,000 people take their life each year - which equates to around one every 40 seconds.
In the Isle of Man the number of inquest suicide verdicts in 2020 was nearly four times higher than the previous year.
