Hong Kong residents, pubs and exams on the House of Keys agenda

29 questions for morning sitting

Manx politicians will meet this morning (30 June) to discuss rural business, visas for Hong Kong residents and the resignation of a top health official.

The House of Keys sitting begins at 10am today, with more than fifty questions for both oral and written answer.

There's a wide variety of subjects to be covered in questions by MHKs this morning, as well as the Manx Care, and Education bills for second reading.

Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas is asking the chief minister for a breakdown on the travel history data of those confirmed with Covid-19.

The number of teachers and education staff not returning to school due to shielding concerns is being raised, with other questions to do with Manx Gas, support for village pubs, and work permits.

Elsewhere, there are two bills for first reading, and the consideration of amendments made by the Legislative Council to a further two pieces of legislation.

You can listen to the questions part of the sitting from 10am on Manx Radio's AM 1368 frequency, or online via Manx Radio and associated smartphone apps.
