Claims Island shouldn't be concerned
A consultation document issued by the UK Treasury and aimed at what it terms 'enablers of tax avoidance' has been published.
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says it should not concern the Island's finance community overly because it operates within current guidelines.
The consultation suggests fines be levied on advisers or enablers shown to be breaking the rules, equivalent to all the benefit they might receive.
