High winds set to cause sailing disruptions

Northern Civic Amenity site closed today

High winds forecast for the Island over the next couple of days are set to cause disruptions to the ferry service.

Tomorrow morning's 8.45am Heysham service is subject to disruption or cancellation, as are the rest of the day's sailings.

Thursday's 2.15am Heysham sailing is also under question.

An update is expected to be issued by the Steam Packet at 2.30 this afternoon (Tues)

Meanwhile, onshore, the Northern Civic Amenity site is closed today due to the weather.

Operators say the situation will be reviewed tomorrow (Wed).
