Ben-my-Chree unaffected
The Ben-my-Chree has departed from Douglas on time this morning despite a chemical leak at Heysham Port.
The leak, which has been described as small by Lancashire Fire Service, came from an on-land tanker containing nitric acid.
On its Twitter page, Lancashire Fire Service has announced it has isolated the leak and will be reducing its resources at the scene over the next hour.
