Age Concern bringing together community
An event being held today (4 November) is hoping to connect elderly people with support services.
It's called 'Here to Help' and will bring together government departments, public services and other local organisations.
Organisers Age Concern hope people who struggle to find support will be able to begin regularly communicating with these services.
The event will be held at the Empress Hotel in Douglas from 10am - 4pm.
Taking part in the event are the Isle of Man Government's Office of Fair Trading, Isle of Man Fire Safety, Isle of Man Police Community Team, Manx Utilities, the Northern and Southern Wellbeing Groups, Older People's Social Work Team, DHSS, Income Tax Division and Public Health.
They will be joined by local organisations including Kissack Care, Sight Matters, Horizon EMS, the Isle of Man Deaf Society, Barclays Bank, Live at Home, Crossroads, Acorn Stair Lifts, Isle of Man Energy, and the Manx Stroke Foundation.
