'Henry' the 27-week-old manikin to keep skill levels high on Neonatal Unit

It was purchased by the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust for around £54,000

A new manikin replicating a baby born at 27 weeks has been installed in the Neonatal Unit at Noble's Hospital.

Nicknamed 'Henry' the manikin is 'high fidelity' - which means it's incredibly lifelike and can be used to simulate a number of scenarios for training.

He was purchased by the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust for £54,485 - making Noble's Hospital the first hospital in Europe to have one.

Lead Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Angela Albiston says practicing on tech like 'Henry' to keep skill levels high is key; especially as the Island's birth rate is so low:
