The library is part of the warm spaces scheme
The Henry Bloom Noble Library in Douglas is 'open to everybody'.
As part of the warm space scheme the library is running a pre-school story time group and has organised drop in sessions for residents who need help from Manx Utilities and also has a foodbank box for donations.
Borough librarian Jan Macartney says the library 'is a warm, safe haven' for people to go to and visitors will not be asked 'intrusive or difficult questions'.
The library is offering a coffee morning every Friday from 9am to 12 noon along with games and children's activities.
It' s closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27, and 28 December and the 2 January.
