Minor Ailment Scheme risen by 136% in two years
Island residents with minor health complaints are being urged to think pharmacist first - instead of waiting for a GP appointment.
The health department says the number of people using its Minor Ailment Scheme has risen by 136% over the past two years.
It offers quick and convenient access to pharmacists, who can offer advice, treatment and a limited range of prescriptions, for a range of common conditions.
They range from hay fever, conjunctivitis and toothache to shingles, gout and sports injuries.
