DHSC given extra £8.25m in this year's Budget
The funds provided to run the Island's healthcare services are still too low.
That's the belief of Health Minister Lawrie Hooper who's told a Tynwald committee a multi-year funding agreement would improve the situation.
Mr Hooper had to ask Tynwald for an extra £10m for Manx Care earlier this year, while the board has since been given an additional £8.25m as part of this year's budget with a further £5m contingency fund should additional pressures arise.
But the minister says the healthcare provider is still underfunded:
