Ashford says his comments caused 'additional stress'
The health minister has issued a personal apology to Steam Packet staff for stating incorrect information about the crew's isolation rules during the pandemic.
Following the publication of a report by Treasury's internal audit division, the ferry operator's CEO called for an apology from government for the distress caused to its staff and their families.
After the so-called 'misunderstanding' earlier this year, Mark Woodward said the health minister's comments at press briefings and in public interviews had especially had a 'considerable impact'.
