Hooper confirms his department won't challenge £3.2 million award
The health minister has issued an apology in Tynwald to the Island's former medical director.
It comes two weeks after the employment tribunal awarded Dr Rosalind Ranson £3.2 million in damages after she was unfairly dismissed by the Department of Health and Social Care.
Lawrie Hooper says, despite the subsequent appeals, his department always accepted the tribunal's decision and confirmed it will not be challenging the remedy award.
