Advice from the RNLI as weather improves
Anyone planning to head out to sea as the weather gets warmer is being urged to take extra precautions.
The RNLI responded to an increasing number of callouts last year compared to 2023.
Around the Island 53 people were assisted by the lifeboat charity; the majority involving power boats, sailing vessels or manual watercraft – such as paddleboards and kayaks.
