HBN Library to close from 5pm on Tuesday

Decision to protect customers and staff

The Henry Bloom Noble Library has announced it will close its doors at 5pm on Tuesday, 24 March, "until further notice."

The decision was taken in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, to protect its customers and staff.

It's providing a full service until then, though, and will still offer online resources after its closure - with the virtual library remaining open 24/7 and thousands of e-books available.

Customers are asked to hold onto all of the library materials they already have, enjoy them at home, and bring them back when the library reopens - with no late fines.

Staff say: "these are extraordinary times demanding extraordinary measures. Thank you for your forbearance. In the meantime, keep safe and take care. We're all in this together."
