The Manx Wildlife Trust is encouraging the public to keep their eyes open for puffins around the Island.

Once common on the Calf of Man, their breeding numbers have dropped off dramatically over the years to virtually zero.

A project, involving the placement of fake puffins in Manx hot spots, is now underway to get the birds breeding here again.

Marine Officer Lara Howe says some puffins have recently been spotted in an unusual place:

If you have seen puffins around the Calf, or elsewhere on the Island, Lara wants to hear from you.
