Ten-year-old taking on sea-to-summit hike in aid of Manx charity
A ten-year-old boy is hiking from Laxey Beach to the summit of Snaefell today to raise money for charity (16 August).
Onchan School pupil Harrison says he and his dad came up with the idea for the summer holiday challenge whilst walking their dog.
The route is about eight miles long, uphill.
Harrison is raising money for Wish Upon a Dream, a Manx charity that grants wishes for sick and terminally ill children.
The target is £1000 - at the time of writing he's managed to raise just over £700.
Harrison says: "I think this is a really good charity and hope that I can raise some money to help some kids have a great experience and make a good memory."
