Government opts to build new temporary stables
The infrastructure minister has dismissed suggestions government and Douglas Council are at loggerheads over the horse trams.
Ray Harmer says 'a couple of hundred thousand' pounds will be spent on a temporary building on the Summerland site for stables and a gift shop.
That's despite Douglas Council offering the current stables to the government for a reduced price.
Mr Harmer insists the poor state of them means repairing them would cost around £2.5million.
He denies it means the two authorities are in dispute.
