DoI says benefits only become clear after vehicles pass over gritted routes
Gritters will be out on the Island's roads again this morning as icy conditions continue to affect some areas.
The Department of Infrastructure treated a number of the main arterial routes and bus routes last night, resuming this morning.
However, the department says the full benefits of gritting only become clear after vehicles pass over treated surfaces, and is asking drivers to keep this in mind when driving on treated roads.
An amber weather warning for ice remains in force until midday.
