The Department of Infrastructure says it’s been working hard to make sure most of the Island’s roads are passable this morning despite snow and freezing temperatures overnight.
Gritting teams have worked through the night to prevent snow and slush turning to ice as temperatures fell.
The following roads are currently being treated: Tosaby, GlenDarragh, Braaid to St Marks, and St Marks to Ballasalla
Work is starting to clear Ballamodha to Roundtable and an assessmentof the Mountain Road is due shortly, although drifts of up to four feet deep have been reported.
Beinn-y-Phott, Sulby Glen, Injebreck and the Brandywell Roadwill be closed until at least 5pm.
