Leader thinks party politics would help
Party politics can effectively channel the demand for change within a disengaged Manx public.
That's according to the leader of the Isle of Man Green Party.
Andrew Newton says there's real desire among the electorate to be more active in Manx political life and parties can provide an opportunity to do so.
The new organisation met in Douglas recently to formulate its policies, after being officially registered as a political party earlier this month.
Mr Newton says people need a forum to present alternative solutions to the government:
