Leader has written to chief minister
The Isle of Man Green Party is calling for the Island to sign up to the Paris Agreement.
Leader of the party Andrew Newton has written to the chief minister, asking him to start the process with the British Government.
Since 2015, 195 states have signed up to the agreement, which aims to decrease the effects of global warming and tackle greenhouse gases.
Speaking on Manx Radio's Perspective programme, Mr Newton said there was no reason why the Island shouldn't be included:
DoI working on Island wide review of disc parking
New catering operator sought for northern hospitality business
