DoI says closure will help fight damage
Two roads in the north west of the Island are closing this winter in an effort to conserve green lanes.
The Department of Infrastructure says the Ballacobb track and Slieau Dhoo link track in the Michael and Ballaugh areas will shut to prevent erosion.
It comes after talks with the Green Lane User Group and will be implemented from November 1, until March 31 next year.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says the decision is part of the DOI's commitment to promote long-term management of green lanes.
