80% cut in emissions put forward
An ambitious plan to slash the Island's carbon emissions by 80% will be put before Tynwald next week.
The goal, set for 2050, is set out in a government document detailing a variety of strategies.
It's hoped a focus on efficient infrastructure, and a greater reliance on clean energy, will help to lower annual greenhouse gas emissions by 8 tonnes per person.
