GP surgeries on the Island affected by worldwide IT outage

Palatine, Ramsey and Kensington groups report IT issues

GP practices on the Isle of Man have been affected by the mass IT outage.

Manx Care has confirmed its primary care services have reverted to business continuity plans but patients may experience delays across Manx Care services until systems are restored.

At Palatine, the Braddan practitioner says it's having computer issues which is Island wide and GTS are working to resolve. 

Residents are requested to be kind to staff as they are doing what they can under the circumstances. 

The Ramsey Group says their 'entire clinical system' is down and it has been reported to Manx Care.

While Kensington is advising residents that it cannot book any appointments at present or do prescriptions. However the GP’s are still seeing patients that already have appointments.

 

SAILINGS

The mass IT outage has affected travel, surgeries, banks and communication systems around the globe. 

 The Steam Packet Company says due to the global outage, it can only currently accept cash payments onboard the Manxman and Manannan. 

FLIGHTS

Earlier an Easyjet flight to Liverpool was delayed due to 'some IT issues'.

In a statement, the airline told Manx Radio the: "IT systems have not been directly affected by the Microsoft systems issues this morning however it is aware that some airports’ systems have been impacted.

"Customers due to travel today are urged to continue to check the latest updates on their flight on easyJet’s Flight Tracker."
