Four departments over budget by £47 million
The treasury minister says government has been hit with a 'wave of increased costs' over the past financial year - including high inflation coupled with wage increases.
It follows the announcement that almost £47 million has been overspent by four departments.
Health and Social Care has overspent by about ten per cent of its budget, whilst Infrastructure, Education, Sport and Culture and Home Affairs have also tipped the scales.
In order for them to be brought in on, or just under, budget by 31 March, Tynwald will be asked to approve supplementary votes next month.
