Dial-A-Ride could replace timetable services
Government is to begin a trial of Dial-A-Ride bus services in the north of the Island next year.
The public transport minibuses, which are used in some parts of the UK, operate on an 'on-demand' basis serving small rural and out-of-town areas.
If successful, they could replace Bus Vannin services in places where demand for them is low.
The DoI says it would be 'premature' to make any commitment on using them for now, though.
