Former Health Minister endorses government's apology, but declines to apologise personally
The former health minister says Dr Rosalind Ranson deserves 'a great apology' from the Isle of Man Government, but has declined to apologise himself.
Douglas North MHK David Ashford was in charge of the Department of Health and Social Care when the former medical director was unfairly dismissed for whisteblowing.
Chief Minister Alfred Cannan and current Health Minister Lawrie Hooper have both issued apologies to Dr Ranson since she was awarded £3.2m in compensation earlier this month.
Mr Ashford hopes those responsible reflect on their actions:
Some pubs to stay open for early-hours England match
Tynwald to revisit rates bill after the election
Douglas Council to install temporary play area in Marine Gardens
