Cannan says targets on track for his administration
The chief minister says government is making good progress with the Island Plan, as the time in his administration approaches the halfway mark.
The document, approved by Tynwald in February 2022, set out government's aim over the next five years.
During a recent fallout over the fate of the Southern Swimming Pool the plan was described as 'not worth the paper it's written on'.
But Alfred Cannan told Manx Radio things are on track:
Mr Cannan says his administration is on track to built 1,000 homes during his administration - mostly within the private sector. It was recently revealed that just nine new public sector homes have been built in the past ten years.
