Global development education project
A newly-established government grant is being used to educate Manx people about issues in other countries.
Local NGO the One World Centre, based Foxdale, has been awarded £30,000 in aid of Global Development Education and Awareness.
The money will be used to fund programmes in schools, as well as public displays and conferences.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle says the cash - which will come from government's existing aid budget - will help the Isle of Man 'play its part... in creating a better future for all the world's citizens'.
