Government workers receive £3m in exit payments

One employee paid almost £370,000 after redundancy

More than £3 million in exit payments has been paid out to 20 Isle of Man Government workers over the last five years.

The highest lump sum payment was just under £370,000, while the lowest was more than £103,000, both of which were paid to employees being made redundant.

The average figure across the 20 was £156,655.

Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas published the figures in response to a written question at this week's sitting of the House of Keys.

He also confirmed none of those in receipt of such a payment have returned to work for the Isle of Man Government.
