Tynwald approves motion by large majority
Tynwald has voted by a large majority to buy the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan moved the motion before the lunch break and members have debated the issue throughout the afternoon session.
The purchase will cost £124.3 million.
Only Douglas South MHK and LibVan leader Kate Beecroft voted against the move:-
