Government structure changes due

Plans to reform the Manx government are to be announced shortly.

Tynwald members have been briefed about changes to the structure and an announcement will be made at 4.30pm.

Meanwhile, Castletown MHK Richard Ronan has confirmed he’s stepping down from the Department of Social Care.

It’s understood, Mr Ronan has a conflict of interest with a number of department proposals, including planned changes to how benefit payments are made at the Isle of Man Post Office.

He remains a member of the departments of infrastructure and economic development.
