Vessels rated as good
The Manx Government will complete the deal to acquire the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company this week.
£48.3 million will be used to buy the parent company MIOM Limited and £76 million will be provided as a loan to the Steam Packet.
The current condition of the vessels has been assessed by shipping surveyors and consultants Braemar as part of due diligence.
The Ben-my-Chree and Manannan were rated as good and scored 5 out of 7 on a sliding scale from unsatisfactory to excellent.
