Alf Cannan disappointed his amendment in Tynwald wasn't supported
The Michael MHK says he remains disappointed his amendment to a motion in Tynwald on public sector pensions wasn't supported.
Alf Cannan had called for an independent review with full consultation to be carried out to identify the actions needed to meet liabilities and ensure the sustainability of the schemes into the future.
The move won support in the Keys but not in Legislative Council and therefore wasn't passed.
Mr Cannan says he feels the outcome of the debate means we're getting nowhere fast on the issue:
