
The Department of Home Affairs’ main headquarters in Woodbourne Road in Douglas could be sold and the operation moved to the Drill Hall in Tromode.
That’s just one of a series of cost saving measures being considered by department chiefs following this week’s budget.
Minister Juan Watterson says £700,000 will have to be saved in the next financial year with the reduction of up to 29 full-time posts.
But he hopes it won’t come to that.
